TERMS AND CONDITIONS

All services included in the EO Spanish Immersion Program are listed at the Packages and Rates page. The following are the terms and conditions related to the program:

 

Language Program

Our Spanish class is designed for people with none to minimum knowledge of the Spanish language. It is a basic course that integrates the contents and objectives of levels A1 and A2 of the European Framework of Reference for Languages.

 

The duration of the course is 3 weeks. There is a maximum of 20 people per group. Courses can begin at any moment for groups of 10 people or more if participants must arrive on the same date. The start date for courses for groups of less than 10 people is subject to scheduling.

 

A participation certificate will be given to all visitors that complete the Spanish course. If a student misses a class due to special circumstances he or she may speak to the instructor in order to schedule a reposition class.

 

Deposit

A USD$200 deposit is required in order to book a package; this deposit amount is applied to the cost of the course. The deposit must be paid at least 3 weeks before arrival; payment must be made via Wire Transfer (payment instructions will be provided via email).

 

Cancellation Policy

Once the deposit has been paid it is nonrefundable, however the deposit amount can be applied to your course fee if you reschedule your starting date within a six-month period.

 

Insurance

Students are responsible for getting their own International Insurance that can be used in Costa Rica.

 

Documentation

It is the responsibility of the student to obtain all necessary documentation to enter the country and travel to, from, and within the program. Please note that U.S. citizens do not require a visa to visit Costa Rica. Participants in the program that do require a visa should request a standard tourist visa, not a student visa.

 

When entering the country participants of the program must declare the purpose of the visit as tourism, not study.

Registration

In order to enroll in the program all students must fill a Registration Form and wire a USD$200 deposit, at least 3 weeks before arrival. By submitting your registration form you agree to the Terms and Conditions and Enrollment policies.

 

A confirmation email will be sent to you as soon as the deposit and Registration Form have been received. You will also receive specifics about the town you will be visiting and a guide including helpful tips and important information such as emergency phone numbers.

 

Student Behavior

It is understood that any participant in an EO Spanish Program will obey the laws of the host country and behave in a respectful manner to both program employees and fellow students.

 

EO Spanish Immersion Center reserves the right to expel (without refund) any student whose behavior violates the center's policies, or those of special program providers, tour operators, etc. Grounds for dismissal include abusive behavior, illegal drug use and property damage. Any expenses incurred by the center in terminating the program of a student who violates the center's policies will be the responsibility of the participant.

 

Lodging

Visitors will have cabins available for the duration of the program; the cabins can accommodate 2 to 3 people. If you wish to have a private room or cabin the option is available at an extra cost. We provide laundry service once a week.

 

Transportation and Tours

Our packages include private transportation from and to the Airport. Three tours are included as part of the program, the tours are described at the  Tours and Activities page. The one-day tours will take place on weekends.  Transportation to the respective places is included.

 

Assistance and Tour Guides

An assistant will be available during the day and part of the night to help with any requirements. The assistant will also be present during all tours.

 

Enrollment

Students must be at least 21 years old. Underage students can only be registered if a parent or tutor accompanies them during the duration of the program.

 

In order to enroll in the program all students must agree to our Liability Waiver and fill a Registration Form.
